What makes a good car photo
Get the whole car in frame
All four corners visible, nothing cropped at the bumpers. The model can only move what it can see.
Shoot from the side or front three-quarter
These angles show the shape of the car best. Straight-on front or rear shots lose the profile that makes the flip readable.
Daylight, no harsh shadows
Overcast or open shade is ideal. Night shots and strong reflections make the paint and windows hard to keep consistent.
One vehicle, no bystanders
A busy parking lot confuses which car should fly. Faces of strangers don't belong in a meme they didn't agree to.
The stunt everyone is remixing
On October 15, 2026, Tesla showed the new Roadster driving up a curved ramp, rolling in mid-air on cold-gas thrusters and landing. Musk called it a flying car, and the internet started putting every other car on that ramp.

Real or AI: how to tell
Tesla's clip is real: it was filmed in front of a live crowd, streamed on X and YouTube, and fact-checkers rated it genuine. It shows short hops and one roll, not a car cruising over a city.
So if a “Tesla flying car” is gliding over skyscrapers, weaving through traffic in the air or landing on a rooftop, it's AI. Fake flying Teslas were circulating long before the reveal.
Six flying car memes that took off
Three days after the reveal, the remixes have settled into a handful of formats. These are the ones copied most, with the numbers as of October 18.
They try to stop me
Traffic, a roadblock or the slow driver in the left lane, then the car hops over all of it. The biggest format: the top AI versions passed 4 million views on X and TikTok.
My city's roads
The flying car meets local chaos: tangled power lines in India, potholes in South Africa, jams in Spain and Almaty. The India version passed 3.6 million likes, and new countries join every day.
Any car on the ramp
Swap the Roadster for something absurd: a tiny Fiat, the Wienermobile, the General Lee. The Wienermobile clip tripled its views in a day.
The flip fail
The landing goes wrong and the car ends up on a highway sign, or never takes off. A still photo captioned “Me on my commute” passed 2 million views, and new fail clips top 600K views on TikTok.
Flying cars before GTA 6
Game-style versions with a wanted-level HUD, plus Rocket League edits of the same flip. One Rocket League clip passed 4.8 million TikTok views.
Movie-style chases
Blockbuster-looking AI chases and Top Gun or Back to the Future jokes. A Kling 4.0 montage passed 3.2 million likes on Instagram, and Christopher Lloyd himself posted “Finally… flying cars.”

Tesla flying car AI video prompts
Making it yourself in Seedance, Kling or another video model? These are the prompts behind our three stunts. Add a clear photo of your car as the reference image.
They Try to Stop Me
Vertical 9:16 video, 5 seconds. The car from the reference photo, same color, body and wheels, is stuck behind a police roadblock on a busy freeway at golden hour. Two small white jets fire under the car, it lifts straight up over the patrol cars and the traffic, and drives off on the far side. News-helicopter camera with a red LIVE banner, realistic lighting, no text other than the banner.
See the They Try to Stop Me templateRamp Flip
Vertical 9:16 video, 5 seconds. The car from the reference photo, same color, body and wheels, drives up a curved steel ramp at a night test site, runs upside down along the top of the loop, rolls once in mid-air on short white cold-gas jets and lands on all four wheels. A crowd cheers behind barriers; handheld phone camera following the car, realistic lighting and motion blur.
See the Ramp Flip templateFlip Fail
Vertical 9:16 dashcam video, 5 seconds. The car from the reference photo, same color, body and wheels, launches off a highway ramp, flips once in the air, misses the landing and ends up hanging nose-first from an overhead green highway sign, swinging slightly. Dashcam timestamp in the corner, daylight, realistic, comedic.
See the Flip Fail templateHow do you make a Tesla flying car edit or AI video?
There are two ways. A flying car edit pastes your photo into the stunt: a CapCut flying car template or a green-screen copy of the ramp flip takes your car photo, cuts the car out and moves it along the ramp. It's quick and free, but your car stays a flat cutout.
An AI video starts from the same clear photo and makes the whole stunt with your car in it: the climb, the upside-down run, the roll on thrusters and the landing. Ask for a vertical 9:16 clip of 5 to 15 seconds, because the meme lives on TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
The part people skip is the caption. In nearly every viral version the joke is the POV line on top, like “they try to stop me” or “me on my commute tomorrow.” The car does the stunt; the caption makes it yours.

Questions about the flying car meme
Is the Tesla flying car real?
The stunt is real. On October 15, 2026, Tesla revealed the second-generation Roadster at a SpaceX test site near Waco, Texas. On camera it drove up a curved ramp, ran upside down, flipped in mid-air and hopped over a row of cars. It was a short stunt on a closed course, not sustained flight, and fact-checkers rated the footage real.
How does the Roadster “fly”?
Tesla says it uses 10 cold-gas thrusters fed by about 600 liters of compressed air, plus fans that hold the car to the ramp. That gives short hops and flips, not airplane-style flight.
How much does the flying Roadster cost, and when can you buy one?
Tesla hasn't announced a price. It is taking $50,000 reservations for the Performance version and $250,000 for Thrust, which adds rear acceleration thrusters. Rocket, the “air ready” version with 10 thrusters around the car, is invite-only. Production is set to start in 2028.
What does “flying cars before GTA 6” mean?
GTA VI has been delayed for years and now comes out on November 19, 2026. When Tesla showed a car that hops on thrusters first, “we got flying cars before GTA 6” became the joke everyone posted.
Can I make a Tesla Roadster AI video of my own car?
Yes. Ramp Flip is open now: upload one photo of your car, add a POV caption and get a 15-second vertical video sized for TikTok, Reels and Shorts in a few minutes. The traffic escape and the flip fail are next.
How much does it cost?
One video is $6.99, three are $14.99 and ten are $34.99. You pay once by card (plus sales tax or VAT where it applies), there's no subscription, credits never expire, and a video that fails gives its credit back.
How do I make the Tesla flying car edit with my own car?
Two routes. In CapCut, pick a flying car template or the ramp-flip green-screen clip and add your car photo: quick and free, but the car stays a flat cutout. Or upload the same photo here: the AI makes a 15-second 9:16 video where your own car climbs the ramp, flips on its jets and lands, with your POV caption on top, from $6.99.
What prompt makes a flying car AI video?
Describe your car exactly, then the stunt beat by beat: up a curved ramp, upside down, one roll on white cold-gas jets, a landing on all four wheels. Ask for vertical 9:16, 5 to 15 seconds, and a handheld or dashcam camera. The prompts section on this page has three ready to copy.
What AI tools are people using for these videos?
Creators who credit their tools mostly name Kling 4.0 and Seedance 2.5 (often through Higgsfield), with a few using Grok Imagine. On TikTok, most remixes come from CapCut templates. Others recreate the flip in games like Rocket League and GTA.
Are the videos on this site made by FlyingCar.fun?
The trending clips are posts by other creators, embedded from the original TikTok, X, Instagram and YouTube posts with credit and a link back. Videos we made ourselves with our templates are labeled “Real outputs”: each was made with one of our templates from a single photo, with no manual touch-ups.
Is FlyingCar.fun affiliated with Tesla?
No. FlyingCar.fun is an independent fan site riding the meme. It isn't connected to Tesla or SpaceX.
